Man Up!
MAN UP! is focused on delivering quality men’s ministry programs to engage guys and challenge them to be the men their families deserve and the men our Catholic Church needs. It is open to all men of our parishes and Catholic men throughout the community, as guys are always encouraged to bring friends.
We meet in Shamrock Hall at St. Patrick Church of Merna for just over an hour every Friday morning throughout the year, beginning at 5:30 am. Our program wraps up around 6:45 am, so guys can make it to 7 am Mass, or get back home to help see the kids off to school or get right to work with a positive message to carry them through the day and week ahead.
New participants are always welcome to join us and there is no cost to participate.

Men’s Sexual Healing
If you are looking for freedom from pornography, sexual addictions, other unwanted sexual behaviors, or have been betrayed by a spouse, we want to accompany you on your journey to healing through the grace of Jesus.
Whether you are just beginning to explore or fully tackle this with all you have, there is a group that can help.
- Sexual Integrity 101 – 9-week, introductory course, for men who want to find freedom from the effects of unwanted sexual behaviors. This course will show how shame and grace affect the healing process, give an understanding of addiction and betrayal trauma, and get you started on the path to sexual health.
- 7 Pillars of Freedom – 10 month (meets weekly) small group program that raises awareness of the self-delusion and denial found among many men who struggle with sex and pornography addiction. Gaining a greater understanding of the addiction process and sexually compulsive patterns, this group experience will provide the safety, support, and tools needed to establish lifelong healing.
- Hope for Men – if you have been betrayed by your wife (through pornography or affairs) and are looking for a place to find healing and restoration with your wife

Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus is the largest Catholic men’s organization in the world. It was founded in 1882 by the Venerable Fr. Michael J. McGivney to care for widows and their children in his parish. The order has since blossomed into an organization that has become known as the “right arm the Church” because of its support of the Church through charity, family, right to life, and community activities. Any Catholic man 18 years or older who practices the Catholic faith may join the Knights.
