The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is typically a Holy Day of Obligation. However, because it falls on a Saturday this year, the obligation to attend Mass is dispensed.
A special Mass for the Solemnity will be celebrated on Saturday, August 15th at 10am at St. Patrick Church of Merna. Everyone is warmly invited and encouraged to attend as we honor the Blessed Virgin Mary.
